The last couple of weeks have been busy with Classic Car Inspections in St Louis, Missouri. When the industries get busy so do we and that means we have some stuff to share with you and some pointers on what to be on the lookout for.

1977 Jeep CJ7 Classic Car Inspection in St Louis, Missouri

Let’s start with the classic cars that I have inspected the past couple weeks in St Louis. First up is a good old school 1977 Jeep Wrangler CJ7. This Jeep has seen a lot of work both mechanically, electrically and cosmetically. It has a newer spray to the body, some floor pan work, some frame work, a recently installed EFI kit and of course the badass wheels and tires. Everything worked well, the EFI needs a bit more tuning and the front end some work to tighten it up which was discovered during the test drive. There is a bit of meat left on the bones for the next owner to chew on and a lot of fun getting it done. It is always fun to perform a classic car inspection in St Louis, Missouri on an old school toy!

1964 Chevrolet Impala Convertible Classic Car Inspection in St Louis, Missouri

Next up is this 1964 Chevrolet Impala Convertible with a 283 CID V8 that was offered for sale by Daniel Schmidt Classic Car Gallery in St Louis, Missouri. You might ask what is so special about this 283 Impala? Take a look at the photos and decide for yourself. You are looking at what has been said to be the most original Impala to still be in existence. Factory stock everything including the engine paint. This lady has seen some slight paint work over the years in small touch ups only, features all factory panels, seats, dash, steering wheel, carpets, stainless trim and even the factory date coded wheels and tires are in the trunk! This beauty drives as good as she looks and as smooth as the day it left the factory dealer showroom.

1971 Dodge Charger 440 Classic Car Inspection in St Louis, Missouri

Everyone loves a Dodge Charger, especially one in orange like this 1971 440 CID Big Block being offered by Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri. This car is an absolute beast on the pavement and is a blast to drive! With short gears, this car has tons of hard hitting shifts and RPM’s but yet is still nice and driveable on the highway with lots more tachometer to spare at 70 MPH. The body has had some work done as you would expect but it shows very nice and will turn heads on every corner.

1987 Buck Grand National Classic Car Inspection in St Louis, Missouri

While the Buick Grand National wasn’t one of the quickest cars made General Motors sure did make a statement saying not all Buicks are boring and slow. A couple years ago I had the opportunity to perform a classic car inspection in St Louis, Missouri on what was and still is one of the lowest mileage Grand Nationals in existence AND it was a GNX Terry Labonte signature car with under 100 miles on the dashboard. This car kicked off a shit storm for me and I have had multiple calls for Grand National pre-purchase inspections since then. Recently I had the opportunity to inspect another one. This time it was a 1987 Buck Grand National. This girl showed to have had some work done to the body. Looked like the right front fender had gotten banged up and was replaced and then a full respray was done over the factory paint. There were a few repairs done throughout. Some of the trim was replaced and some was factory. The interior has held up VERY well and it looks like someone had already replaced the headliner. I did notice that the factory black mesh wheels had been stripped and fully chromed but they look good but it hurts the value a bit not having the correct color of wheels. The 3.8L Turbocharged V6 started right up easy, idled smooth and had great power on the road, in short, the car drove super nice and everything worked.
