It has come to my attention that there are some online classic car dealer scammers or individuals within the United States that are using some old inspection reports generated by TDT and changing the photos, VIN and vehicle year, make and models and passing them off as having been inspected by TDT. Here is how to spot them!
IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED ONE OF MY REPORTS THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Call, Text or Email me BEFORE sending ANY money to the dealer or your information. If you received a report that only shows a partial inspection, this is FAKE. I do NOT provide partial inspections. You can send me the report and seller’s information at this form below.
ALL OF MY REPORTS SINCE 2022 LOOK LIKE THIS
If you have received ANY report that looks different than THIS format, suspect fraud and report it to me. I would request that you send the entire file to me. I do not take fancy photos in photo booths. You should not see anything like these photos below. Also, I rarely inspect a vehicle indoors. IF I do, I usually get at least 6 photos of the vehicle outside for my clients. I also DO NOT provide partial inspections. If they fail to send you the full report. THAT IS A FAKE.
LOOK CLOSE AT THE VIN, YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL INFO
If the font of the VIN, Year, Make or Model looks AT ALL different from the rest of the report suspect that the report is fraudulent. Notice the OLD LOGO, newer date and different fonts? THEY CHANGED THE TDT PHONE NUMBER!
WHAT I AM DOING TO COMBAT THIS FRAUD
I am reporting each of these offenses to the States Attorneys offices for which state these originate from. I urge you to do the same. Also, report them to the Better Business Bureau in that area. I am also sending Cease and Desist letters to these sellers to put them on notice.
